Closure of Carers Trust's online services for carers

We are sorry to advise that all of Carers Trust's online services for carers—Carers Space, Babble and Matter—will be closing at the end of the day on 12th April.

  • We will be unable to answer queries to our email helplines after 2pm on Friday 7th April.
  • After 7th April, and for tech issues only (problems with logging in, passwords, accounts), please email tech@carers.org.
  • The online communities will remain as usual, with the final webchats on their usual schedule on 12th April.
  • The communities will be switching off at midday on 13th April.

We have published a letter from Carers Trust's senior management, with more information, on our main website here.

If you are looking for online advice or support, there are several places we can recommend:

  • Carers UK, the UK's national membership charity for carers aged 18+. Advice, information and an online forum (similar to Carers Space) at https://www.carersuk.org/forum .
  • Gov.uk, the Government's information and advice site including information on benefits, rights, entitlements, work, health and social care for people living in England and Wales.
  • Gov.scot, the Government's information and advice site including information on benefits, rights, entitlements, work, health and social care specifically for people living in Scotland.
  • NI Direct - the Government's information and advice site including information on benefits, rights, entitlements, work, health and social care specifically for people living in Northern Ireland
  • Carers Trust's local Network Partners, 150 independent services for carers across the UK, offering information, advice, practical support and/or care in the home. Find your nearest one here or search for carers or young carers plus the name of the town or county you live in.
  • The Samaritans, available day and night to listen and help you talk through your worries by phone, email, text, letter or face to face.
  • The Mix, information and advice for under 25s on every subject, including by phone and webchat.
  • Kooth, free, safe and anonymous online support for young people.
